公共卫生学院双语教学可行性的初步分析

摘要: 目的 分析公共卫生学院开展双语教学的可行性.方法 公共卫生学院低年级学生进行自填问卷调查,在职教师收集关于留学人员情况的现有资料.数据分析采用SPSS软件进行描述性和χ2分析.结果 低年级学生英语高考成绩优良者过半(55.9%),四级通过率达57.5%;59.2%的学生认为双语教学是汉语和外语讲授学科内容且以外语为主;63.0%人认为其目的 是提高英语水平和专业水平;大多数学生(80.1%)认为有必要在高校开展双语教学,性别上有统计学差异,女生较男生认为有必要;多数学生对双语教学表示感兴趣,并认为有必要对公共卫生专业学生进行双语教学.但担心双语教学影响正常教学;17位(28.8%)在职教师具有出国经历,学习时间平均为1.77 a,多为中青年教师(占41.2%)和高职教师(占64.7%);学校已开设9门双语教学示范课程,从政策、管理规定、经费和教学硬件配套给予大力支持.结论 公共卫生学院基本具备良好师资和学科设置优势,低年级学生英语水平有所提高且对双语教学有积极的认识和态度,以及学校的大力支持,将促进公共卫生学院在本科生中探索双语教学,逐步发展双语教学的课程,提高教学质量和注重实效.Abstract: Objective To analyze the feasibility of bilingual teaching in the School of Public Health(SPH).Methods Students in junior grades in the School of Public Health and in-service teachers were studied by available data.The descriptive statistical analysis and chi-square test were administered by SPSS software.Results Students with excellent or good English scores in college entrance exam were more than half(55.9%).The rate of passing CET-4 was 57.5%.59.2% of the students thought that bilingual education was tau...
