Abstract: ［Abstract］Objective The study was aimed to compare the main points and function of clinical nursing between laparoscopic operation and laparotomy for cervical cancer. Methods Sixty-six patients with cervical cancer were randomly divided into two groups: laparoscopy group（LRH）and laparotomy group（ARH）. The experienced nurse practitioners with strong sense of responsibility were selected as duty nurses. Before operative， nursing planning was developed according to patients' condition in order to implement personalized nursing. The patients' situation was assessed after operation to improve the nursing plan. Then，a comparison were made in operating time， time for leaving bed，evacuation time， duration of pain，indwelling catheter time， body temperature and hospitalization days between the two groups. Results The duration of operation was （56±10.2） min and（54±11.3） min of LRH and ARH groups， respectively. There was no difference（P > 0.05）. Compared with the ARH group，the time for leaving bed，evacuation time，duration of pain，indwelling catheter time，body temperature and hospitalization days were significantly less than those of LRH group （P < 0.05）. Through effective nursing， no nursing complications occurred. Conclusion Radical surgery of cervical cancer is a large operation in gynecology. Laparoscopic surgery has advantages over laparotomy， including faster postoperative recovery and shorter operative time. Preoperative nursing is important guarantee of improving the success rate of the surgical resection，and the postoperative nursing plays a key role in the patients' recovery.
