Abstract: ［Abstract］The incidence of diabetes is incredibly high, the blindness from diabetes is rising in recent years and the chronic complications are threatening diabetic patients especially for the poor. It is a great burden not only for the patients and their family, but also for the society. We reviewed the recent epidemiological data, analyzed the current situation of prevention and treatment of diabetic eye disease, especially in Yunnan Province.
