Abstract

Abstract

［Abstract］Objective　To observe the clinical efficacy and side effects of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy concomitant with temozolomide in the treatment of postoperative malignant gliomas in Chinese patients．Methods　Twenty-three malignant glioma patients previously treated with resection of the tumor received three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy with concomitant and adjuvant temozolomide chemothreapy．Results　The overall response rate was 82.6%．The progression-free survival was 73.9%（17/23）at 6 months and 52.2%（12/23）at 1 year respectively．The one- year survival rate was 69.6%（15/23）．All patients could well tolerate this treatment scheme．The main side effects were nausea and vomit．Conclusions　Three dimensional conformal radiotherapy concomitant with temozolomide in the treatment of postoperative malignant gliomas demonstrates good tolerance and short-term efficacy.
