Effects of Tuberculosis Drugs Combined with Rifapentine on the Immune Function, Inflammatory Factors, VEGF and MMP-9 of TB Patients

  • [Abstract]Objective To investigate the effects of TB drugs combined with rifapentine on the immune function, inflammatory factors,VEGF and MMP-9 of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods Sixty cases of tuberculosis patients were randomly divided into control group(n = 30) and observation group (n = 30). The control group was given rifapentine, while the treatment group was given tuberculosis pill treatment based on rifapentine. The immune function, inflammatory factors,VEGF and MMP-9 levels of patients before and six months after treatment between the two groups. Results After treatment, the levels of CD3+, CD4+ and CD4/CD8 of patients in the two groups were increased significantly(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of CD3+, CD4+ and CD4/CD8 of patients in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, after treatment INF-γ levels were significantly increased(P<0.05), IL-4, CRP, TNF-α levels were significantly lower (P<0.05). Compared to the control group after treatment and observation Group INF-γ levels were significantly higher (P<0.05), while IL-4, CRP, TNF-α levels lower(P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, the serum MMP-9, VEGF levels were significantly lower after treatment (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the serum MMP-9, VEGF levels of patients in the observation group were significantly lower after treatment(P<0.05). Conclusions Tuberculosis drug combined with rifapentine can significantly improve the immune function of TB patients, reduce inflammation, reduce VEGF and MMP-9 levels, so as to effectively control the disease, has important significance, and is worthy of further application.
