Effect of Single-port Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery for Lung Cancer Radical Resection on Immune Function of Patients

  • [Abstract]Objective The study was aimed to analyze the effect of single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery(VATS)for lung cancer radical resection on the immune function of patients. Methods A retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 42 patients with lung cancer radical resection by single-port VATS and 45 patients by thoracotomy in the department of thoracic surgery from January 2014 to November 2014. The data of immune function including T,Th,Ts,NK,CIK,CIKN cells and TH/TS were compared between the two groups in the preoperative and postoperative day 3. Results No operative related mortality. There were no statistical differences in the operation time, intraoperative blood loss,and chest closed drainage tube drawing time between the two groups(P > 0.05). In patients with lung cancer radical resection by single-port VATS, postoperative pain, out-of-bed activity and immune indexes were better than patients by thoracotomy(P < 0.05). Conclusion The single-port VATS for patients can decrease the impact by lung cancer radical resection.
