Application of Climen in Difficult Removal of Intrauterine Device in Postmenopausal Women

  • [Abstract]Objective To explore the application of Climen in difficult removal of intrauterine device (IUD) in postmenopausal women. Methods 50 cases who underwent the failure to take out IUD were given Climen, then the degree of cervical softening,comprehensive reaction degree and success rate were observed before and at different periods after oral Climen. Results After oral Climen for three months, the degree of cervical softening and successful rate were significantly higher than those before treatment and after treatment for 1 month (P < 0.01), while the response was significantly lower than that before treatment and after treatment for 1 month (P < 0.01). Conclusion Climen is effective for postmenopausal women to removal IUD, and oral Climen for 3 months is especially recommended. It can reduce the occurrence of comprehensive reaction of patients and improve the success rate. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
