Prenatal Ultrasound Diagnosis and Misdiagnosis Analysis of Fetal Persistent Right Umbilical Vein

［Abstract］Objective　To investigate the ultrasonic diagnosis and misdiagnosis of permanent right umbilical vein （PRUV）. Methods　We retrospectively analyzed the 16 cases of PRUV diagnosed by ultrasound examination and 3 cases of misdiagnosed PRUV in our hospital in recent years．Results　The detection rate of PRUV was 0.22% （16/7086）. 13 cases were intrahepatic type， 5 cases were combined with fetal deformity， 3 cases were ultrahepatic type. There were 3 cases of misdiagnosis， including 1 case of fetal PRUV complicated with broken inferior vena cava， and 2 cases of single PRUV. 5 cases of PRUV were combined with fetal deformities， the prognosis of 13 cases of single PRUV was good， 3 cases received induced labor．Conclusions　Prenatal ultrasound examination has higher value in the diagnosis of fetal PRUV， but may cause misdiagnosis when the ultrasonography is not typical. The diagnostic rate may be further improved through the analysis of misdiagnosis.
