  • Objective To investigate the effects of Corilagin on expression of C-reactive protein (CRP) in oxidized low density lipoprotein ( OX-LDL) injured macrophage cells. Methods In vitro, mice monocyte-derived macrophages were prepared to duplicate the injury model caused by OX-LDL; Western blotting essay was used to determine the effect of Corilagin on CRP protein expression and Real time PCR assay was used to study the CRP m RNA expression, respectively. Results Compared with normal control group, the CRP/β-actin and 2-ΔΔCtvalues of OX-LDL injured model group were markedly increased (P<0.05) ;compared with the model group, Corilagin at 3.125-50 μmol/L obviously decreased the values of CRP/β-actin and 2-ΔΔCt (P<0.05) . Conclusion Corilagin could significantly down-regulate protein and m RNA expression of CRP in OX-LDL injured macrophage cells.
