Comparative Analysis of Test Results between POCT Blood Glucose Meter and Automatic Biochemical Analyzer

  • Objective To investigate the correlation between POCT glucose meter and automatic biochemical analyzer test results, to evaluated the reliability of portable POCT blood glucose meter.Methods We vertically collected the blood glucose values that diabetics and non diabetics hospitalized in The First People's Hospital of Qujing of Endocrinology, from January 2012 to December 2015 regularly twice a year, the POCT blood glucose meter and Roche 7600 automatic analyzer test results, all of 448 cases, using SPSS17.0 for statistical analysis.Results The correlation of POCT blood glucose meter test results with Roche 7600 automatic analyzer was coefficiently, r > 0.95, meeting the standards of the Ministry of Public Health.Conclusions POCT glucose meter is simple, rapid, accurate and clinically useful. POCT glucose meter in our department, has good detection accuracy, stability and repeatability.
