Genetic Polymorphism Analysis of 27 Y-STR Loci in the Hui Population from Weishan, Yunnan Province

  • Objective To investigate the genetic polymorphisms of 27 Y-STR loci in Hui population from Weishan, Yunnan Province, and obtain the genetic basic data of Hui population, to provide data support for forensic identification, and to promote the establishment of Y-STR database. Methods Blood samples of 171 unrelated male individuals were collected.DNA was amplified by using YfilerRPlus system and genotyped by ABI3500 Genetic Analyzer. The forensic parameters were calculated.Results In the 171 unrelated male individuals, the allele frequency was 0.00580.7207, the gene diversity (GD) was 0.43140.9408. 169 different haplotypes were observed once, 1 haplotype occurred twice.The haplotype diversity (HD) was0.99986 and the discriminative capacity (DC) was 0.994152.Conclusion The 27 Y-STR loci are highly polymorphic in Hui population from Weishan, Yunnan Province, and could be provided the basis for forensic identification and the establishment of Y-STR database.
