Abstract

Abstract

Objective To explore and analyze the physical and mental health status of medical staffs in Yunnan province.Method Self-made health scale and symptom self-assessment scale (SCL-90) including 10 factors were respectively used to investigate the physical and mental health of medical staffs in general hospitals in Yunnan province.Results 480 questionnaires were distributed, 430 qualified questionnaires were taken back, and effective rate was 89.58%.The physical and mental health status of medical staffs were poor, they had very poor sleep and diet, weak fitness consciousness and bad exercise habits.Compared with domestic norm, the average total score of self rating scale and the various symptoms factors, the somatization factors, depression and anxiety scores of medical staffs were significantly higher (P < 0.05) .The force, interpersonal relationship, depression, anxiety, and psychotic factors scores of medical staffs at different posts had statistically significant difference (P <0.05) .Conclusion Medical staffs have poor physical and mental health status, and medical staffs at different posts had significantly different physical and mental health status, the mental health status of nurse is especially worse.
