Analysis of Volatile Components from Ten Kinds of Origin in Foeniculum vulgare Mill Fruits

  • Objective To analyze volatile components from ten different origin in fruits Foeniculum vulgare Mill, and detection of their relative contents.Methods The volatile oil was extracted by solid phase microextraction and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.Results Among the volatile of ten samples, 68 compounds were identified.9 compounds were same and other 59 compounds were different.But trans-anethole, methylchavicol and p-methoxybenzaldehyde were the main compositoin and the contents of them were above 80%.Conclusions The composition of the volatile oil from different regions are different.And this study provides a theoretical basis for the rational exploitation of Thymus mongolicus.
