Abstract
Objective To study the cause and strategies of catheter-related infections in malignancy patients who carried a PICC(Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) for a long time.Methods From October 2008 to December 2010,there were 160 patients who carried a PICC.We analyzed their clinical information to find the cause of catheter-related infections.Results Catheter-related infections occurred in 5 patients(2.9%)of 160 patients.We made correspondent nursing strategies for them according to the causes.Conclusion ...
