The Relationship between HMGB1 and Serious Degree of Acute Pancreatitis in Rats

Abstract

Abstract

［Abstract］Objective　To explore the relationship between high mobility race protein B1（HMGB1）and serious degree of acute pancreatitis in rats．Methods　Acute pancreatitis model in rats was established. Rats were divided into 3 groups: group A （severe acute pancreatitis group），group B（mild acute pancreatitis group），and group C（normal control group），and 10 rats in each group．Blood samples of rats in 3 groups were collected at 12 h，24 h and 48 h after establishing model，and the serum levels of HMGB1 were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay（ELISA）．Result　The serum levels of HMGB1 of rats in group A were higher than group B，and in group B were higher than group C at different time points，the difference had statistical significance（P＜0.05）．Conclusion　The serum levels of HMGB1 are positively related with the serious degree of acute pancreatitis.
