Combination of Ureteral Occlusion Device and Ureteroscopic Holium Laser Lithotripsy for Treatment of Upper-middle Ureteral Calculi

    Abstract
  • ［Abstract］Objective To evaluate the application value of ureteral occlusion device in ureteroscopic holium laser lithotripsy for treatment of upper-middle ureteral calculi. Methods　Fifty-six patients with upper-middle ureteral calculi were randomly divided into two groups in this study. Twenty-eight patients in observation group were treated with ureteroscopic holium laser lithotripsy combined with ureteral occlusion device，28 patients in control group were treated with ureteroscopic holium laser lithotripsy. The effect of lithotripsy and postoperative complication were compared．Results　The operation time and stone-up rate in observation group were shorter and lower than those in control group, the stone clearance rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group （P＜0.05）. The incidence of complications in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group （P＜0.05）. Conclusions　The ureteral occlusion device combined with ureteroscopic holium laser lithotripsy is effective in preventing the movement of calculus, improving the rate and safety of stone clearance, reducing incidence of complications during ureteroscopic holium laser lithotripsy. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
