The Relationship between Serum sTREM-1,CCR1,LGALS3BP Expression and HBV-DNA Load,Liver Function,and Degree of Liver Fibrosis in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B

  •   Objective  To explore the relationship between the expression of soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cell-1 (sTREM-1), CC chemokine receptor 1 (CCR1), and lectin galectin-3 binding protein (LGALS3BP) in serum and the HBV-DNA load, liver function, and degree of liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB).   Methods  Retrospective inclusion of 120 CHB patients who visited Xi'an First Hospital from March 2024 to March 2025 as samples, and detection of serum HBV-DNA load in patients. ELISA was used to detect the serum levels of sTREM-1, CCR1, and LGALS3BP. Collect liver function [aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT), total bilirubin (TBIL)], serum indicators of liver fibrosis [hyaluronic acid (HA), laminin (LN), collagen type IV(IV-C), procollagen III amino terminal peptide(PC-III)], and liver stiffness measurement(LSM) were collected. The differences in various indicators among patients with different HBV-DNA loads and degrees of liver fibrosis were compared, and Pearson or Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between indicators. The diagnostic efficacy of sTREM-1, CCR1, LGALS3BP, and LSM for liver fibrosis using ROC curves was evaluated.   Results  Compared with the low HBV-DNA load group, the serum levels of sTREM-1, CCR1, LGALS3BP, liver function indicators (ALT, AST, GGT, TBIL), liver fibrosis serological indicators (HA, LN, IV-C, PC-III), and LSM were significantly increased in the medium and high load groups (P < 0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that sTREM-1, CCR1, LGALS3BP were positively correlated with HBV-DNA load, ALT, AST, GGT, TBIL, HA, LN, IV-C, and PC-III(r > 0, P < 0.05), and there was a positive correlation (r > 0, P < 0.05). As the degree of liver fibrosis worsened, the levels of HBV-DNA load, sTREM-1, CCR1, LGALS3BP, and LSM increased (P < 0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that single indicators sTREM-1, CCR1, and LGALS3BP had a good predictive value for liver fibrosis, and the combined diagnostic efficacy of the three parameters was comparable to LSM.   Conclusion  The levels of serum sTREM-1, CCR1, and LGALS3BP are closely related to HBV-DNA load, liver function damage, degree of liver fibrosis, and LSM in CHB patients.
