The Analysis of Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Events in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients in Yunnan

［Abstract］Objective To analyze the risk factors for cardiovascular event in patients with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis （CAPD）in Yunnan. Methods 270 cases of CAPD patients were collected during the period from October 2012 to September 2013 in designated hospital in Yunnan. Among all the cases，no cardiovascular or cerebrovascular events occurred in 178 patients， while another 92 patients developed cardiovascular or cerebrovascular events during 12 months follow-up，multiple demographics，clinical indexes and biochemical indicators of patients in both groups were analyzed. The logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors for adverse cardiovascular events. Results There was no significant difference in gender，age，educational background， primary disease，dialysis age， blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine between event group and non-event group（all P＞0.05）. The levels of serum phosphorus，serum intact parathyroid hormone（iPTH），serum total cholesterol，low-density lipoprotein cholesterol（LDL-C），high-sensitivity C-reactive protein （hs-CRP） of event group were higher than those of non-event group，while blood pressure control rates and hemoglobin level of event group were lower than those of non-event group．Conclusion　Blood pressure control rates and the levels of serum total cholesterol，LDL-C are important risk factors for adverse cardiovascular events in CAPD patients.
